Job Description
Your candidacy is currently being considered for a requisition for an Alight Inc group company. As you may be aware, Alight has announced intent to divest its Payroll & Professional Services business to HIG Capital. After the transaction closes, this position will be aligned to the new Payroll & Professional Services owned by HIG Capital (‘Divested Group’). SENIOR PAYROLL ASSOCIATE (Indonesia)
Role summary
This role will be part of our client delivery team in Manila Center providing HR administration production support for clients in Indonesia, the Philippines, and Thailand for payroll processing and data reconciliation. The Senior Associate will analyze, research, validate, and correct HR data entry issues for client employees on a daily basis. Responsible for correction and resolution of all HR data entry generated fatal errors that would prevent client’s employees from receiving proper payments.
Main responsibilities
- Act as the first point of escalations and processing issues; Senior Payroll Associate will conduct the necessary investigations and perform the required actions.
- Initiates RCAs and provides resolution to be reviewed by the Team Lead and Process Lead.
- Work side by side with the Team Lead in preparing weekly & monthly SLA, including issue and resolution tracking.
- Drive and identify opportunities and potential improvements on the current processes and implement the solution to improve results and increase productivity.
- Attend internal and client-related calls with the Team lead and Process Lead.
- Audit SPOC. Responsible for coordinating with the team any internal and external audit requirements (RFI).
- Responsible for updating Document process changes after audit and updating DWIs as required, to be reviewed by the Team lead and SME lead.
- Responsible for the monthly compliance testing and ensuring that internal cutoffs are followed.
- Train team members for any account/process specific updates/changes
- Performs user acceptance testing (UAT) and implementation of configuration changes in the system.
- Fully aware of the day-to-day operations related to SLA and client requirements/needs.
- Fully accountable for maintaining and updating issue/error log.
- Act as access facilitator for the team and ensure that the access tracker is updated and submitted on time for compliance. Submit all access requests and revocations within the agreed TAT.
Key experience
- Advanced HR expertise – In-depth knowledge of Indonesia, the Philippines, and Thailand payroll processes, policies, and regulations within the area of Payroll, Benefits Administration, and employment law/legislation appropriate to the client’s geography
- Good analytical skills – to be able to break down a problem, situation, or process into its parts, to separate the main issues from side-issues, to understand the nature of elements and their relationship to one another
- Gathering information and problem-solving – look at existing issues and interact with others to find adequate solutions
- Knowledge of the Service Centre processes, policies, and procedures (e.g., escalation procedures, service level agreements, client service standards)
- Good communicator and customer-oriented – to be able to identify and understand the customer’s needs
Skills
- Must have a good command of written and spoken English
- Computer skills: MS Office, SAP HR, HR IS/IT systems, and SC technology (tools for documentation/tracking, service delivery channels, etc.)
- Results-oriented – to be able to achieve targets aligned with business goals
- Well-organized and planned, schedules time effectively, and uses efficient work methods and tools
- Detail-oriented, thorough, and focused on all aspects of the job to ensure high levels of accuracy
- Teamwork -to work with colleagues to achieve targets and objectives.
- Ability to work under pressure, remains calm, is objective and controlled in responding to urgent or demanding situations. Maintains effective performance against strict deadlines
Qualifications
+ Bachelor’s degree holder
+ With at least 5 years of experience in end-to-end payroll processing in Indonesia, the Philippines, and Thailand.
+ Must have background in SAP Payroll and with good communication skills
+ Practical application in computerized payroll systems, preferably SAP Knowledge and experience
