It’s been a great work week of fantasy baseball, and it’s time to get fired up for some great series this weekend. The Dodgers rolling into the Bronx to face the Yankees will be the marquee matchup all weekend long, but there are several other intriguing series as well. The weekend action gets started with a 10-game featured DFS fantasy baseball slate DraftKings, which begins at 7:05 p.m. ET. There are three divisional games and three interleague matchups as part of the matchups available.
While the Yankees and Dodgers will have the spotlight and there are some strong star plays across the board, there are also some excellent value plays to consider. The three values highlighted below can save you salary and help keep your lineup under the salary cap while also offering high ceilings of their own.

SP Lance Lynn, St. Louis Cardinals vs. Colorado Rockies, $7,400
Lynn hasn’t been lights out this season, but he has been good enough lately to consider him in this favorable home matchup against the Rockies, who have been a mess offensively away from Coors Field. On the season, the Rockies have a team wRC+ of only 81, which is only higher than the struggling White Sox. That metric does include park factors, but even when you look at their numbers with Coors included, the Rockies rank third in the MLB in K% and in the bottom 10 in ISO and OBP. Lynn has a decent 3.23 ERA and 4.13 FIP coming into this contest and has been a little sharper lately, allowing just one earned run over his last three starts despite facing the Orioles, Reds and Phillies. He has at least 14 DKFP in each of those outings, highlighted by an impressive 25.7 DKFP in his last start which came against the O’s. Lynn has been inconsistent, but in this matchup, he should be a good investment at this salary if you want to go with a cheaper SP and stack your batting lineup.
OF Stuart Fairchild, Cincinnati Reds vs. Chicago Cubs, $2,900
Whenever the Reds face a lefty like Justin Steele ($7,200), Fairchild is a good value option to consider with a salary under $3,000. Fairchild has remarkable splits, hitting .333 against southpaws this season with three homers, six stolen bases and a .406 wOBA that gives him an impressive 161 wRC+ against lefties. Against righties, he is only 3-for-38 (.079) and actually has a very unusual -1 wRC+. Fairchild has been playing well in his recent opportunities, posting double-digit DKFP in each of his last three starts and at least 9.0 DKFP in six of his last eight games with multiple at-bats. Fairchild will likely slot into the top spot in the Reds’ order for this divisional matchup, and he is a great play with plenty of upside.
2B/3B Lenyn Sosa, Chicago White Sox vs. Boston Red Sox, $2,300
Sosa hit just .186 in his first 63 games in the MLB coming into this year, but he has shown good progress in 2024. The right-handed hitter is still just 24 and continues to grow at the plate while showing plenty of power potential. While he brings good upside, he hit just .132 in his first stint with the White Sox this season before being sent back to Triple-A. In his 10 games in Charlotte, he found a good groove with five homers with a .418 ISO, earning a call back to the MLB at the end of May. Since rejoining the Sox, Sosa has gone 7-for-16 (.438) with a home run and a .501 wOBA. While he won’t likely keep up this pace, he has been productive enough to earn consideration at just barely more than the minimum salary, especially since he can slot in at either 2B or 3B depending on what stars you’re looking to build around.
