Abookkeeperor bookkeeping clerk is a financial professional who is responsible for updating a company’s financial accounts and records. Their duties include checking accounting records for accuracy, tracking invoices and payments and maintaining a system for organizing company documents.
Business consultants recommend strategies to improve efficiency and boost revenue. They work with managers to implement organizational changes that reduce costs, boost productivity and increase profits. Business consultants work in diverse industries including the banking sector, manufacturing, retailing and franchises.
Business Manager
Business managers oversee the day-to-day business operations of a company. They collaborate with company executives and employees to direct the organization's resources toward achieving goals and objectives. Business managers hire and train staff, work with management to design short-term and long-term plans and negotiate contracts. They also monitor the implementation and success of financial and sales strategies. There are opportunities for business managers in the banking industry, finance, manufacturing, government and others.
Financial analysts collect and analyze business data to make recommendations. They use financial models to forecast the performance of investment assets such as stocks and bonds. Financial analysts can be sell-side analysts or buy-side analysts. They can work in manufacturing, mutual funds, pension funds, banks, insurance companies, brokerage firms, etc.
Office managers oversee a company's administrative operations. They manage expenses, plan work schedules and organize meetings. Office managers compile and maintain organizational records, manage inventory, budget and negotiate with contractors. They also design and implement strategies to improve workplace efficiency and productivity. Office managers are intermediaries between junior employees and senior-level management.
A bank teller job is an entry-level position and involves providing customer service and basic banking services to bank customers. Common duties include taking cash, checks and other forms of payment from customers, depositing and dispensing money from customer accounts, answering customer questions and exchanging money for foreign currency.
Human resource specialists handle all personnel-related functions. They recruit, screen, interview and hire qualified candidates and train staff. HR specialists serve as an intermediary between employees and management, administer benefits and manage the payroll. They also enforce workplace rules to comply with state and federal labor regulations. Human resources specialists can work in government, the private sector and nonprofit.
An entrepreneur is someone who takes all the risk in starting a new business and is responsible for all aspects of building the business into a success. Entrepreneurs are often seen as creators or innovators who think of new business ideas, goods and services to offer to others. While entrepreneurs may take greater financial risks to make their dreams become a reality, they are also able to enjoy all the rewards when their business is a success.

Future Business Leaders of America (FBLA) inspires and prepares students to become community-minded business leaders in a global society through relevant career preparation and leadership experiences.
FBLA student business organization at Broward College is an amazing college life experience. The extra-curricular work that is a part of FBLA enhances the lessons learned in the classroom. Student members of FBLA can put into action the leadership skills learned in the classroom by participating in both team and individual competitive events and compete against colleges and universities across the country. FBLA members also have volunteer opportunities including the March of Dimes, Relay for Life, and beach and waterway cleanups. Student members of FBLA also join in all Student Life activities on campus such as Club Rush, chili-cook-off, and Leadership Series events.

The Paralegal Eagles is a college-wide club that provides great exploration opportunities outside the classroom for students interested in the paralegal profession. The club enables students to integrate skills learned in the classroom with real-world experiences. Students are given opportunities to network with a variety of legal professionals, participate in the club's Mentor-Mentee Program, and role-play in mock trials.
